Rhea snapped in Tilney Cum Islington
Residents in Islington were given a rare sight when a rhea was snapped in the village over the weekend.
A villager is believed to have taken this picture of the bird on Sunday morning and posted it onto Facebook.
There is speculation that this rhea could be one of two which have been on the loose for more than a year. Another was spotted in Hertfordshire recently.
The ostrich-like bird, which orginates from South Amercian, can hit speeds of up to 40mph.
