Upwell’s first-ever yard sale on Sunday was a ‘roaring success’ and looks like becoming an annual event.
Village hall committee member Linda Carr, who organised the day with help from Alex Cullen, estimated that around 200 people visited the 36 homes with yard sales. Around £320 was raised – to be split between the village hall and Upwell Primary School – and Linda said: “It was a wonderful day. It was a roaring success. I was over the moon and, judging by the response from the people who came, it will hopefully become an annual event.”
