Patriotic members of a Fenland golf club were on par when they joined in celebrations for the Queen’s 90th birthday.
Tydd St Giles Golf Club’s ladies’ section dressed up in red, white and blue when they held an 18-hole Stableford competition during the Queen’s special day. Members also decorated their golf bags and buggies with bunting. After the competition, players enjoyed sandwiches, nibbles and a glass of bubbly. Ladies’ captain Linda Walker said: “The ladies’ section normally meets on a Thursday and we had a competition already booked, so we thought we’d celebrate the Queen’s birthday at the same time. We had a really lovely day.”
