More than 100 children had a chance to chat with Santa at the recent Christmas lights switch-on in Chatteris in his grotto outside the Old Bakery Tea Room in Market Hill.
He was in the grotto organised and run by the Old Bakery staff for three hours and raised £300 which was presented to the Chatteris Christmas Lights Committee towards next year’s switch-on.
A further £100 was generated by the sale of rapeseed oil and goose fat at the eatery donated by George and Jane Munns of L and AE Munns and Son.
Tina and Gloria Prior, of the Old Bakery thanked Arthur Clarke for his unstinting contribution to the evening. Pic shows L-R Gloria Prior, Tina Prior & Reg Tibbitts
