Saturday night is bingo night in Fridaybridge

This Saturday sees eyes down for a charity bingo being held as a thank-you for special support given to a local family.

Geanie-Rose Bailey is now a healthy four-year-old, but when she was born in November 2013 prematurely at 26 weeks she had to fight for her life.

She spent nearly three months in the natal intensive care unit at King's Lynn's Queen Elizabeth Hospital. She weighed just 1lb 2ozs and she had a bleed on the side of her brain, chronic lung disease and a hole in her heart.

Her parents Lucy and Fred Bailey and older sister Tilly, 9, and brother Freddie, 7, were given support by specialist charity Bliss, and that is why Lucy and friend Laura Miller-Brown are organising Saturday's bingo at the Tower Hall in Fridaybridge from 6.30pm.

Geanie-Rose, still has a small hole in her heart and has regular hospital check-ups, but she is now getting ready to start at Fridaybridge School in September.
