A March business owner is holding a fundraising open day to say thank you to a hospital which saved her nephew’s life.
Kelly Saunders is hoping people will support her tombola, men’s leg waxing and competitions to celebrate moving her beauty business to new premises at 73 High Street in March. The public are invited to come into Bittersweet Beauty on November 17 from 9.30am to 4pm at the new premises and pay £1 a strip for the men’s waxing, have a go at guess the Teddy’s name, and guess how many false nails are in a jar. The money will go to the NICU (intensive care unit) at the Luton and Dunstable Hospital where little Connor Fyson from March spent the first 12 days of his life.
His mum Emma said if it hadn’t been for staff there, two-and-a-half-year-old Connor would not be alive today.
