Today’s planned Year 11 parents evening at Wisbech Thomas Clarkson Academy will go ahead as planned after the school reopened to students this morning.
The School was forced to close its doors for two days after a burst pipe in the sprinkler system sent thousands of gallons of water gushing down through the building leaving some classrooms 12 inches deep in flooding on Sunday evening.
However, students were told to report to the college as normal this morning (Wednesday) although four classrooms and two open areas in the King Community area remain out of use following flooding. The rest of the building is open as normal.
Year 11 Parents’ Evening will take place as planned from 4pm to 7pm.
Principal Clare Claxton said the school was able to re-open thanks to the hardwork of contractors and staff.
