School’s out for Wisbech deputy head

A senior teacher has retired from a Wisbech school.

Senior deputy headteacher Christine Noxon said farewell to her colleagues and pupils at Wisbech Grammar School.

Miss Noxon has been an important part of the school for 19 years but started her career at Stamford High School in 1982. She said: “I have been doing a job I love and which has brought new challenges every day.

“I have thoroughly enjoyed sharing my love of languages.

“The most important thing has been the pupils: they are the heart of everything we do at Wisbech Grammar School.”

Miss Noxon has big plans for her retirement which include travel, voluntary work, along with learning Finnish and the flute.
