AN annual charity shoot held in memory of a March woman has netted more than £3,000.
The event, held over the weekend at Cambridge Gun Club, was organised by Allan Wright, of Creek Road, in memory of His wife Carol, who died on October 4 2008 of cancer.
This year saw 130 people take part in the Carol Wright Memorial Clay Shoot to raise funds for Cancer Research UK.
The raffle alone raised £1,900 and a very large bottle of Scotch was auctioned off for £188.
John Newman from Downham Market was the shoot winner, and took home the Carol wright Memorial Trophy and a prize of £200 donated by Allan’s son Peter Wright from Wrights Tools and supplies of March.
