March and District Amateur Operatic Society played a concert at West End Park in March
March and District Amateur Operatic Society were delighted to host their first musical event in eighteen months.
Crowds gathered at the bandstand in West End Park to watch the talented artists perform last weekend.
Claire Lilley, chairman of the group, was delighted to be back.
"March Town Council had booked some bands and things for every weekend in August," she said.
"It was a good turnout. There was a decent crowd.
"This was our first performance back.
"It was our first time back since Covid, and we started rehearsing again in July. It was very good to be back.
"We've got a Christmas concert which is going to be on December 17 at March Town Hall.
"We're hoping to put on the 9-5 musical next year, which we were rehearsing last year when we went into lockdown and never got to perform."
