Townshend Road in Wisbech closed after sinkhole appears

A sinkhole has appeared on a town road – resulting in its closure.

Police have closed Townshend Road – on the junction with Lynn Road in Wisbech- this morning.

Pictures shared by police show a hedge being enveloped by the sinkhole.

Police and Highways are currently at the location looking into it.
