Three Emneth sisters are raising money for Cancer Research in memory of their dad who died almost seven years ago as the result of the disease.
Sallyanne Ellington (32) and her sister Stacey Rudd (29) are currently in training for the London Marathon while their eldest sister Shelley Jeffrey (34), who is unable to run, has been fundraising in other ways.
The girls are running for two different Cancer Research charities but both need to raise a minimum of £2,000 to maintain their places in the famous race.
It will be seven years to the day when Sallyanne and Stacey line-up for the marathon on April 13 that their dad Michael Jeffrey died aged 51. He had renal cancer, which then spread to his bones and brain.
To help with their fundraising all three sisters will be running a charity bingo evening on Thursday (January 23) at Emneth Central Hall with eyes down from 7.15pm.
So far the women have raised over £2,000 between them with the help of mum Kim Taylor who runs the family haulage firm K & M Traction based in Walsoken.
