Soaring success at Wisbech St Mary pub

A museum’s bid to raise money to move into larger premises hit the right note during a fundraising concert. Fenland and West Norfolk Aviation Society, along with the Bridge Inn at Wisbech St Mary, put on a concert on September 12. Up to 100 people went along to the pub to enjoy performances by Kara 2, Clarkson Singers, Amy Palmer and Canyon. The event raised £250 – with £200 of this going towards the society’s bid to build a new museum in Wisbech. The remaining £50 will go to the RNLI. The pub’s Rita Gammon said: “It was a really successful day with a great atmosphere. n Above: Musicians entertain at the Bridge Inn concert.
