PEOPLE across Fenland broke out in spots on Friday to help raise cash for the annual BBC Children in Need appeal.
Among those fundraising were pupils at local schools including Maple Grove at March and Manea School.
At Maple Grove youngsters were asked to dress in spots and to donate £1. Each pupil was given a special ‘spotty’ cake decorated in smarties to celebrate the fundraising fun.
The end of the day also saw a sale of cakes donated by parents and carers and a total of over £200 was raised by the non-uniform day and cake stall.
At Manea the pupils also wore their spots, or something either red or yellow. They also enjoyed a host of ‘Pudsey’ activities. A total of £289.15 was raised.
