Storm Ciara is causing disruption across Fenland as winds of up to 70mph batter the area.

As we reported earlier, a £13,000 stand has been wrecked at Wisbech Town Football Club's Lynn Road stadium, and a tree is blocking the A1101 Churchill Road heading into Wisbech.

Police also report that two pieces of lead are hanging precariously from the roof of Specsavers in Broad Street, March and are warning people to approach the area with care.

They are also warning motorists that Gull Road in Guyhirn has been blocked by a fallen tree on a blind bend.

A tree has been down since this morning in Broadened Road, Walsoken and is blocking the route, while Fenland Police are reporting a tree has been felled by heavy winds and blown into London Road between Chatteris and Somersham.

Officers are currently dealing with an abnormally high number of calls regarding highways issues on numerous other roads across the county and are asking people to only call 999 for an emergency. For everything else its 101.
