A West Norfolk charity has thanked a team of fundraisers for helping to raise awareness of their work and over £1,500 by completing the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge.
The One to One Project in King’s Lynn provides long-term professional support to adults across West Norfolk, who are experiencing emotional or social distress and mental health difficulties.
Chris Macleod (34) of Elm, was joined by his 13-year-old son, Connor, and a group of friends to complete the challenge on behalf of the project.
Mr Macleod and his son are pictured with friend Andy O’Brien, who also completed the challenge.
He said: “I received counselling from the One to One Project and it meant a lot to me to give something back by doing the challenge.
“We had donations from a lot of West Norfolk groups and businesses,” he added.
Hannah Cooper, One to One project manager, said: “We were all really touched by Chris’ efforts. He had a lot of support here and the team really got behind him.
“The donations we received were more than we ever expected and it comes at a time when we are relying more than ever on donations and support.”
