Suspected stolen Toyota Hilux found by police in Doddington




A man has been arrested and an investigation launched after police recovered a suspected stolen vehicle on Thursday.

Officers from the Rural Crime Action Team (RCAT) found the Toyota Hilux in Doddington.

A spokesman said the police have seen an increase in the number of stolen trucks in Fenland and owners should be extra vigilant and put protection measures in place.

Advice includes ensuring your vehicle is always locked and that, where possible, you park in well-lit areas covered by CCTV.

Features such as immobilisers, steering wheel locks, pedal boxes and gear stick locks can also prevent theft.

It’s also important to keep the keys in a safe place that isn’t easily accessible from your front door and consider using a Faraday pouch for keyless vehicles.
