Swaffham school closes after fire

Fire broke out at the Hammond Academy in Swaffham during the early hours of this morning (Wednesday, February 10).

Crews from Swaffham, Lynn South and Watton were called to the Brandon Road site at 4.40am.

The fire is believed to have broken out in the roof of a single storey building.

The school has closed due to lack of electricity as a result of the fire.
