Teeing off for charity

A LOCAL man whose life was saved by Magpas, is looking for sponsors and teams to support a golf Day he will be hosting in aid of the life-saving charity.

This is the fifth year the golf day will take place and this year will be held at Thorney Golf Club.

Adam Daly, of Whittlesey, suffered a bad car crash and is grateful to the life-saving service.

Said Adam: “I suffered a very bad car crash some years ago and I literally would not be here if it weren’t for Magpas. Every year we try to raise as much as we can and the golf day is a fun way for lots of people to get involved. Magpas save lives at the scenes of emergencies night and day; they are a truly amazing charity. The money raised will be spent on helping to provide a night and daytime air ambulance to the East of England. Last year alone Magpas attended over 950 seriously injured patients in our region, saving numerous lives!”

The day will take place on Wednesday 21st September. If you would like to enter a team call Brian Harding on 01733-205391.

Magpas the multi-award winning medical charity, offers a remarkable medical service to the people of the East of England. Established in 1971 the charity has saved countless lives and has reduced potential disability for many more. It costs £750,000 a year to run this life saving service. Magpas can only continue to provide these services through the generous support and donations from the public. The Helimedix Team is made up of expertly trained doctors and paramedics who deliver Accident and Emergency standard treatment to patients at the scenes of very serious medical emergencies.
