The Light cinema in Wisbech set to reopen with special £3 ticket offer
The Light cinema in Wisbech is set to re-open its doors this weekend after heavy rain caused damage to its roof.
Heavy rainfall on August 16 forced the venue to evacuate customers and close for repairs following a major leak.
However, it is now ready to reopen this Saturday (3) - National Cinema Day - with a special weekend offer to welcome gusts back with all tickets at £3 across all films.
There will be a bumper line-up of films on offer on Saturday and Sunday with new films like pulse-pounding new thriller Beast starring Idris Elba as well as Tad the Lost Explorer And The Curse Of The Mummy for younger audiences.
There will also be a raft of summer favourites including Fisherman’ Friends: One and All, Top Gun: Maverick,
Jurassic World: Dominion, DC Super-Pets and Minions: The Rise of Gru.
The Light will also be celebrating 40 years since E.T. first hit the big screen with a special anniversary showing too.
Bookings are now open at wisbech.lightcinemas.co.uk.
Beth Brightey, business manager for The Light commented: “We are delighted to be able to reopen and excited to be able to offer our guests a £3 ticket offer to welcome everyone back. We’ve programmed a variety of films and events over the weekend which will hopefully offer something for everyone and give all our guests the chance to thank them for their incredible support during the last few weeks.”
