The Original Factory Shop in March is set to make a difference to Cancer Research UK after it was chosen by the low cost department store as its charity partner for 2013.
Following an appeal to the community to nominate local causes via The Original Factory Shop’s Facebook page, colleagues at the store are gearing up to support the local organisation throughout the remainder of the year.
A programme of fundraising activity will soon be planned, with a minimum target of £500 to be raised.
Store manager, Tricia Bagge, said: “We received a fantastic response to our ‘Make A Difference’ appeal. We’re very excited about raising money for Cancer Research UK this year and we’ll be meeting with them now to make sure we take advantage of every opportunity to support them.
“I’m sure our caring customers will be right behind us and help us raise much-needed funds for our ‘Make A Difference’ partner.”
The Original Factory Shop’s Make A Difference In Your Community campaign first launched in 2010, donating more than £300,000 to hundreds of local causes across the UK since.
There is a dedicated tab on The Original Factory Shop’s Facebook page so that people can keep up to date with the latest Make A Difference news.
