Tickets issued to seven motorists for illegal parking in Whittlesey and March




Police have slapped seven motorists with parking tickets following residents’ concerns.

Officers paid visits to Whittlesey and March after being told of issues of illegal parking in the areas.

On St Mary’s Street in Whittlesey, and Grays Lane and Broad Street in March, seven tickets were given to vehicles parked incorrectly in disabled bays, on the pavement and on double yellow lines.

In a Facebook post, Policing Fenland reminded people that there are “plenty” of free parking spaces for people to use, “even if it means walking a little further to a destination”.
