The closing date is looming for a photographic competition which asks people to show what they like about Wisbech.
The competition has been organised by the Wisbech Society, in association with the town’s Currys PC World store.
Entrants can submit up to five photographs, each accompanied by no more than 25 words explaining why their chosen subject is special to them.
There are two categories – up to 18 years old and 19 years and older – with each category winner receiving a 64GB BlackBerry PlayBook 7in tablet with a one-year subscription to a 50GB Knowhow Cloud Storage Backup facility. The winning photographs will be displayed at the store, along with a selection of the most meritorious entries.
The closing date is June 22, which is Civic Day. Wisbech Society will have a stall on the Market Place, selling publications and explaining its continuing work for the town and its heritage.
Entries can be taken to the Fenland Citizen office or emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org
