Upwell Shire Horse producers are over the moon after a successful national show.

Pip Read and Stuart Shorting, who own Harwins Farm Shires, were thrilled with the success of Billy, Mr Fox and Connor at the National Shire Show in Staffordshire. Billy, aged six, got a first in the novice showing class, while 12-year-old Connor was second in the traditional decorated harness contest. Five-year-old Mr Fox, who was only broken to ride at Christmas, came fourth in the novice ridden and seventh in the Horse of the Year Show qualifier. Miss Read, who is pictured above with Connor, said: “It was a fantastic set of results.” Photo: SUPPLIED
