Santa paid an early visit to March on Saturday for the annual Christmas fair at the town’s Catholic Church.
The event, which included Santa and on his elves in a grotto, raised just over £1,000 which will go towards church running costs.
The afternoon also included all the traditional stalls and games as well as crafts.
There were hot dogs and mulled wine and visitors also had a chance to see inside the church itself as it was open for the afternoon.
Rebecca Bretherton, chairman of the church’s Pastoral Council, was delighted with the event’s success and said it was a great day for all concerned and added it was especially nice that people had a chance to see inside the church, which is usually closed during the week.
