Oak tree fire in Sutton St Edmund

Firefighters attended a large oak tree blaze this afternoon (Saturday).

The blaze was at a property on Guanockgate Road, Sutton St Edmund.

A crew from Crowland attended at 3.44pm and used a hose reel to extinguish the fire.

The blaze was caused by embers from a controlled burn nearby being blown in the wind and igniting the tree.
