TRIBUTES has been paid to a March carer killed in a car crash on Saturday evening on the A141 Wimblington by-pass.

Forty-one-year-old Louise Draper, of Ingoldsby Close, suffered fatal injuries and had to be cut from her Rover MG TF sports car following the single vehicle accident, which happened near the junction with the B1093 Manea Road.

Ms Draper’s car left the road and ended up in a ditch. Fire crews from March, Chatteris and the rescue appliance from Huntingdon attended the crash, which happened at around 6.20pm.

Ms Draper worked as a carer, running her own business Care4You and among her clients was 94-year-old Harold Gehlcken of March, who had been waiting for Ms Draper to attend his home on Saturday evening.

Mr Gehlcken’s son Trevor paid tribute to Ms Draper and praised her “fantastically caring attitude”.

He explained she had been looking after his father for over a year and had always done much more than was required.

“I can’t praise her too highly enough, she offered a wonderful service and my father loved her to bits, she is certainly going to be missed. It is a real tragedy and we are all very shocked by her death,” said Trevor
