CADETS from all three services paid tribute to local veterans as part of the Wisbech Armed Forces Day celebrations.
Although Saturday was the official Armed Forces Day, Wisbech held its own event on Sunday in the town’s Market Place.
The Armed Forces Day flag was raised in a special ceremony at 1pm before Air, Army and Sea Cadets paraded through the town centre.
They gave the salute to all the veterans who attended as tribute to their service to the country. The flag was lowered in a sunset ceremony at 3pm.
Throughout the day, there were stalls from ex-service organisations and the cadet organisations, including the Uniformed Services course at the College of West Anglia.
There were military vehicles in the Market Place, giving people the chance to experience the conditions that some of the veterans endured during their service as well as a display from the Fenland Aviation Museum.
Any donations received during the day will be divided equally between the Benevolent Funds of all three services.
