Trinity launches new service

A NEW dermatology service has been launched locally at Wisbech’s Trinity Surgery.

Thanks to a £2,500 donation from Wisbech and District Cancer Support Group, equipment has been purchased which will be used in the service for the detection and treatment of skin cancer.

Doctor Mark Tyler explained he is a doctor with additional training in dermatology and the launch of the new skin care service is something he has been keen to get off the ground.

“We are aware that a vast majority of patients seen in the Wisbech area who need a dermatology consultation have to go to King’s Lynn hospital,” said Dr Tyler, adding this means travelling and parking costs and often a wait for an appointment.

He pointed out the Trinity service is an additional service to the hospital service and is seen as an intermediate step.

The service isn’t just for Trinity patients either and already there has been three fairly full clinics.

On Wednesday night, members of the cancer support group went to the surgery to make the official presentation of the equipment.
