Families are this month being invited to try out the facilities at a new leisure complex in Tydd St Giles for free.

Tydd St Giles Golf & Country Club near Wisbech is holding an open week at its new £2 million development from today (Friday) until Sunday, February 24.

Adrian Hurst, managing director, said: “Following the official opening ceremony on Thursday, February 14, the swimming pool, steam room and sauna will then be open to the public until February 24 and everyone will get the chance to ‘try before they buy’ as all of the new facilities will be free to use.

“We have also re-branded as Tydd St Giles Golf & Country Club.”

The leisure complex will feature a heated indoor pool with a coco jet machine, which controls the water current, steam room and sauna, as well as a fully air-conditioned fitness suite.

The building was constructed by Wisbech-based Bespoke Oak Supplies Ltd.

There will be a special 12 month membership discount available during the open week where anyone purchasing membership to the leisure complex will receive a 20% discount. Full golf club members will receive a 50% discount.

Tydd St Giles Golf & Country Club first opened as a nine-hole golf course in 1995 and became a holiday venue in 2009 with the addition of seven holiday lodges.

The Country Club, which is celebrating its 18th anniversary this year, now spans more than 150 acres of Cambridgeshire’s finest Fenland. The exclusive community of luxury holiday homes and lodges has been created around an 18-hole golf course and lake.
