UPDATE: A47 between Wisbech and Peterborough reopens after man dies in collision
The A47 has now reopened this afternoon following a crash between a van and a lorry.
The collision happened on the roundabout at Fen Road and March Road and closed the A47 in both directions
The driver of the van, who has not been identified by police, died at the scene.
A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance spokesman said: “The East of England Ambulance Service Trust was called to a two vehicle road traffic collision, between a lorry and van, off the A47 near Peterborough at 6.08 this morning (Monday 20th July).
“Two ambulances and two ambulance officers attended to treated one man.
“Unfortunately despite the best efforts of emergency services, the patient sadly died at the scene.
“One other patient, a man was also treated but discharged from scene with no injuries.”
