POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision on the B1101 at Friday Bridge in which a one-year-old child from March was killed this morning.
The incident happened at 10.17am on March Road when a Peugeot 307 and Ford Mondeo collided.
Emergency services including two air ambulances attended the incident.
Two fire crews from Wisbech together with the rescue appliance from Dogsthorpe helped release one casualty and also assisted with CPR on two casualties.
A one-year-old child travelling in the Peugeot suffered fatal injuries. The driver of the Peugeot, a 47-year-old man from March suffered serious injuries and is currently in Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge.
The driver of the Mondeo, a 49-year-old man from Nordelph, suffered serious injuries and is also currently in Addenbrooke’s Hospital.
Sergeant Chris Huggins said: “I would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or who saw either vehicle in the moments leading up to the collision.”
