UPWELL St Peter’s Church hold their annual Flower Festival on June 29, 30 and July 1 with the theme of “60 Glorious Years”.
Local groups and individuals will be displaying flowers depicting such years as 1953, the year of the Mini car, the storms of 1987, decimalisation and other events of the last 60 years.
The church will be open from 10am to 6pm each day, and Friday evening the Gilbert and Sullivan choir will sing songs from the last 60 years.
Tickets priced £8 are on sale from Spikings Butchers, Daphne on 01945-772171 or Ros on 01945-773604 and include a light buffet.
On the Saturday morning at 10am a coffee morning with stalls, bric-a-brac, cakes, books, plants and tombola will be held.
All proceeds are for the upkeep of St Peter’s Church.
