Upwell gives funding boost to Norfolk Hospice

Villagers in Upwell have raised hundreds of pounds for the Norfolk Hospice.

Members of the Upwell Christmas Charity has presented a cheque to Tapping House following a tour on February 28.

The money was raised during a buffet and dance which was held in Upwell Village Hall on December 5. Sounds Familiar entertained the guests during the evening. The ploughman’s supper was prepared and served by Liz Carter and Ros Shorting A further presentation will be made to Rudham Children’s Ward at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King’s Lynn on Sunday, March 13 to go towards the costs of equipment for taking children’s blood.

The next Upwell Christmas Charity Dance will be held Saturday December 3 at Upwell Hall in aid of Tapping House Hospice Children’s Bereavement Suite. Upwell Christmas Charity members Nigel Carter and Ros Shorting present a cheque to Jessica Walker PICTURE: SUPPLIED
