A leading police officer says the case into Alisa’s death remains open.
But Det Insp Marie James, of the Norfolk and Suffolk Joint Major Investigation Team, is again appealing to people in the area for help in solving Alisa’s death.
She said: “It has been a frustrating investigation and one we were hoping to bring individuals to court but unfortunately that has been the case so far.
“We are disappointed and I know the family are disappointed. This is a tragedy of 17-year-old who had her life ahead of her.”
Det Insp James said she had been expecting a narrative verdict.
She said: “The case into Alisa’s death remains open and Norfolk police are determined to find out how and why she died.
“We are certain there are individuals out there who know how and why Alisa died. Our investigation into her death will remain open and I would reiterate my message to anyone who may have information to have the courage to come forward.”
Anyone with information about Alisa’s death is asked to contact the Major Investigation Team at Norfolk Constabulary on 101 or visit their local police station. Translation services are available on request.
