Wisbech St Mary fence fire spread to field

Firefighters rushed to a fence blaze that was spreading to a field on Tuesday.

At 2.21pm, a crew from Dogsthorpe, which was on duty in Wisbech, was called to the fire on Bunkers Hill in Wisbech St Mary.

The crew arrived to find a well-developed fire involving fencing spreading to a field. They extinguished the fire using hose reels and returned to their station by 5pm.

The cause of the fire was accidental.
