LEARN MORETydd St Mary Primary School is flying the flag for high-quality education in South Holland after making it into the county’s top ten Key Stage 2 performers.
The school is tenth in the latest Department for Education tables, based on the most recent SATs (Standard Assessment Tests) in July 2019, showing how much progress children have made at the end of their spell at primary school.
Tydd St Mary, judged “Outstanding” in all areas by Ofsted in July 2016, was one of just three primary schools in the area to be named in Lincolnshire’s top 30.
A letter to head teacher Sonya Ely from Nick Gibb MP, Minister of State for School Standards, said: “I would like to congratulate you, your staff and your pupils on the very high level of progress that pupils in your school demonstrated in the reading, writing and mathematics Key Stage 2 assessments last year.
"In terms of the progress your pupils make between Key Stage 1 and the end of Key Stage 2, your school is amongst the top three per cent of primary schools in the country."
