An increased demand for advice has prompted an appeal for more volunteers by Fenland’s Citizens Advice Bureau.

The demand from people seeking help and advice in Fenland on the telephone is growing at an exceptional rate, especially through Rural Cambs Citizens Advice telephone service, Adviceline.

As a result the Wisbech office is looking for more volunteers to support the telephone service.

The team is appealing for people who are confident on the telephone with a few hours to spare each week.

A spokeswoman said help is needed. She said: “All you need is a friendly telephone manner and good listening skills – we will provide all the other training required.

“Help us to help the community and become part of our dedicated and friendly team.”

For more information, call into the office at 9 Church Mews, Wisbech, PE13 1HL, or email recruitment@rural cambscab.org.uk

The Wisbech office operates a drop-in service, Monday-Thursday, from 9.30am to 12.30pm.
