Wisbech school pupils have been doing their bit by volunteering in the community.
Meadowgate School has worked with the Volunteer Centre Fenland to arrange opportunities for youngsters during a six-week programme.
Groups of pupils are spending one day a week at Wisbech and Fenland Museum, Glenfield Care Home, Rosmini Centre and Artworks in March.
The school’s Emily Wilson and Erbie Murat, volunteer centre manager, worked together on the programme, which followed a session for youngsters at the bureau, which is based at the Rosmini Centre.
A press release states: “This has proved to be extremely successful, with the pupils having the opportunity to learn new skills, experience new things and get involved in the community.
“Meadowgate School and the Volunteer Centre Fenland are hoping that they are able to work together again in the future.”
