THE Angles Theatre at Wisbech is holding a special evening aimed at encouraging more volunteers and thanking those who already help the theatre, which has been at the heart of the community since 1978.
In a press release, the theatre has said: “We would like more volunteers to add to the number already dedicated to helping us fulfil our aims of developing the range of activities, productions and services we offer to adults and young people.”
To find out about the opportunities there will be a social evening (with a free drink and nibbles) on June 6 at 7.30pm at the theatre. See the website: www.anglestheatre.com for details.
“As a semi-professional, community theatre, the Angles has always relied on local government support, audiences, enthusiastic performers and most of all passionate and dedicated volunteers.
“Our volunteers make the theatre a safe and welcoming place for all which helps us to keep on providing the wide range of facilities we offer.
“Whatever time and skills a volunteer can offer is gratefully received. We need help to maintain our listed Victorian and Georgian buildings, do some gardening, painting and decorating, staff the bar during events, provide catering for social functions, help make scenery and props, make costumes, maintain our paint, scenery and costume stores, front of house services, distribute leaflets and many more varied roles.”
