Octavia Hill’s Birthplace House is staging an exhibition about Alfred Russel Wallace, who famously arrived at the theory of evolution independently of Charles Darwin.

This year marks the centenary of his death and the touring exhibition about his life and works opened at the Wisbech venue in South Brink on Friday.

It is due to run for four weeks. Entry is free and it is open from 1pm to 4.30pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays.
