Visitors to Walpole St Peter Church were taken aback with the skill level of crafters when two groups held their first-ever display together there on Saturday.

The Walpole Art and Craft Club and the Rainbow Quilters put a wealth of crafts on show, including quilting, painting, sugar craft, encaustic wax art and silk flower arranging, to name a few.

There were also lace making demonstrations at the event, which raised £370 for Walpole St Peter Parish Hall.

Gill Henderson, who helps to run both groups, said: “It was such a success, we hope to make it an annual event.”
