Walpole St Peter school silence for Brussels attacks
Staff and pupils at Anthony Curton Primary School in Walpole St Peter, and its sister school at Tilney All Saints, stood in silence on Wednesday to show their understanding and empathy for the attacks on Brussels airport and a metro station on Tuesday.
Headteacher, Anne Senior, said it was important for children to show empathy. She said: “Our daily lives in our two church schools are based on the Christian values of love, tolerance and support and, all too often recently, we as adults have to support our children in making sense of some of the terrible things that touch their lives.” Walpole St Peter youngsters are pictured above during the silence.
