Flood warning issued in Wisbech with heavy rain predicted tomorrow

A flooding warning has been issued for the Wisbech area tomorrow (Tuesday, September 24).

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning after heavy rain has been forecast from 4am to 11pm tomorrow.

Thunder storms are predicted from 7am to 10am.

The warning states: "Widespread rain is expected on Tuesday with some very heavy rain possible, bringing some disruption from flooding.

"Homes and businesses could be flooded, causing damage to some buildings

"Fast flowing or deep floodwater is possible, causing a danger to life and some communities may be cut off by flooded roads

"Delays or cancellations to train and bus services are possible

"Spray and flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures

"Possible power cuts and loss of other services to some homes and businesses."
