Police have this afternoon appealed for people who were travelling on a bus which was blown over by high winds during Storm Doris on Thursday afternoon to come forward.

Three people were taken to hospital with minor injuries following the incident on Lynn Road, West Walton, which happened at around 1.20pm.

Eight others were treated at the scene by paramedics, while four more patients were assessed.

PC Andy Smith, of Downham police, said yesterday: “There were a number of people on the bus at the time of the incident. However, they were picked up by friends or family before speaking to police.

“I am keen to identify the passengers involved as soon as possible.”

Anyone who saw the crash, or was on the bus at the time, is asked to contact PC Smith via the non-emergency 101 number.
