Outwell Festival-goers are set for a splashing time later this month.
The popular annual event will include raft races and a barbecue on Saturday, May 28, and a music festival on Sunday, May 29.
The races will be held on Outwell Basin. There will be two – one for teams of four adults of 14 years-plus; and one for teams of six children aged 8-13.
Entry is free and raft racers are encouraged to wear fancy dress.
There will be a £30 prize for the winning adults’ team and £20 for the victorious children.
The races will be held from the Crown Lodge Hotel to the Crown pub and start at 1pm.
Teams can register on the day by 12.30pm opposite the Crown Lodge Hotel and entry forms are also available from the Crown Pub, Lisa’s Hairstylists and J R Stott’s fish and chip shop, or email firstname.lastname@example.org
A barbecue will run from noon with live music provided by The Saga Louts.
In the evening there’s a family party at Outwell Village Hall, starting at 7pm.
Live music will be provided by New Generation Crash and Burn and there’s a supporting disco from New Level Entertainment.
Tickets are available at the door – adults £8, children (5-14) £4, family ticket (two adults/two children £20), under 5’s free – or from the Crown pub. Admission includes entrance to the Sunday Music Festival.
Gates open at 1pm at the playing field for the music festival.
