WIMBLINGTON now has its programme in place for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations.
There will be a service in St Peter’s Church at 11.15am on Sunday June 3 and afternoon tea for senior residents in the parish hall from 4pm to 6pm.
On Monday June 4 there will be a children’s tea party at Parkfield from 3pm to 5pm and a family evening at the same venue from 7pm until late. This will include a live band, a hog roast and lighting of the official Jubilee beacon.
Admission to all events is free.
Wimblington has registered the beacon and been given an official lighting up time of 10.15pm.
