A Wisbech bank could be getting a facelift if planners give the green light.

Lloyds has applied to Fenland District Council to refurbish its branch in North Brink.

The bank wants to remove its screened counters and extend its cashpoint and self-service areas along with re-decorating the inside.

The design and access statement says: “The proposed internal works will enhance the open feeling of the branch and create an open inviting environment for staff and customers.

The new finishes will lift the branch and result in a much improved updated feel throughout.

“It is evident Wisbech is a town of tradition and good values regarding heritage and development but embraces change for the future success of the area.

“The proposed installations do not contravene any planning policies and are deemed appropriate for the area, which is occupied by other retailers.”
