A Costa Coffee employee has raised more than £600 to help relieve poverty in coffee-growing communities around the world.

Tina Skyles, who works at the chain’s Wisbech branch, spent four months raising the money for the company’s Costa Foundation charity.

She organised a host of in-store fundraising events, including a customer vote to decide which employee should be covered in baked beans. Manager Gemma Kane took the forfeit, raising £200 alone.

Tina also raised money by selling coffee-smelling candles and truffles.
