More than 150 prospective parents and pupils got an insight into Wisbech Grammar School when it held an open morning in its new £2 million refectory, Skelton Hall.
Headmaster Chris Staley told visitors about new developments at the school, including the launch of a new scholarship programme, and there were pupil-guided tours of the facilities, with a chance to talk to pupils and staff. Mr Staley said the open morning also informed parents of the school’s specialist teaching, small class sizes, first class sports facilities and extra-curricular activities. He said: “The morning was a wonderful opportunity for parents and prospective pupils to learn more about the school. Academic excellence is at the heart of our educational approach. In tandem, we offer an all-round educational journey which enables our pupils to go beyond the narrow confines of exam specifications, delivering a bespoke educational experience.” To enquire about admissions, contact the school on 01945 586750. • A student, above, shows off the facilities during the open event.
